Diwali
Diwali wishes they light up themselves
Every Diwali the same forwarded pictures go round every group. Send something that could only have come from you: a dark room, one diya waiting to be lit, and behind it your photos, your wishes and your words.
Free. No ads. They need no app and no account to open it.
What they see when they open it
- A dark room and a single clay diya. They tap it.
- The flame spreads to every lamp along the floor, the lanterns glow, and fireworks go up behind your greeting.
- Your photos, up to four, in gold frames.
- Your wishes. Each one lights a diya of its own as they scroll.
- A patch of night sky. Every tap sends a rocket up from the ground to burst where they tapped.
- Your message, as a letter.
One page for everyone you want to greet
The page names nobody but you, so the same link works for your parents, your cousins abroad, your school group and your colleagues. It opens in any phone browser without installing anything.
Print the QR code on the card that goes with the sweets, and the box carries your wishes too.
Wishes worth writing yourself
- Something you hope for them this year, as specific as you can make it.
- A memory of a Diwali you spent together.
- The thing their home always has that yours does not.
- A promise to visit, with a date.
- A thank you that you have been meaning to say.
Send it at the right moment
Finish the page days before and schedule it to open on Diwali evening. Until then the link shows a countdown.
Afterwards, anyone the page is open to can turn it into a short video with the lamps and the fireworks in it, ready to post as a status.
Questions
Can I send the same page to many people?
Yes. One page has one link, and it greets whoever opens it without naming them, so you can share it with as many people as you like.
Is it free?
Yes. Making and sharing a page costs nothing, and there are no ads on it.
How long does the page stay online?
For 7 days after it opens. Then the page and its photos are deleted for good.
Festival of Lights
One diya to light. Its flame spreads to every lamp on the screen, then fireworks, your photos, your wishes and a night sky they fill with rockets themselves.
