Miss you

Say “I miss you” so that they feel it

“Miss you” is two words and a heart emoji, sent so often that it stops landing. This page makes it land again. A paper plane arrives for them. Inside are the days you have been counting and the small, particular things you miss.

Free. No ads. They need no app and no account to open it.

What is on the page

  • A paper plane they tap. It takes off, and “I miss you” appears with their name.
  • A counter of the time since you last saw each other, down to the second.
  • A countdown to the next time, if you have a date.
  • Folded notes, one for each thing you miss. They tap each one to open it.
  • Photos as postcards, each with a line of your handwriting.
  • A letter, and a distance they close by pressing and holding.

For anyone you miss

A partner in another city, a best friend who moved away, a sibling at university, a parent you see twice a year. Every line is yours to write, so it fits whoever it is for.

If you live in different time zones, add your two cities and the page shows both clocks. If you do not, leave them empty and that part is simply not there.

What to write on the notes

  • Be specific. “Your laugh” is fine. “The laugh you do when you are trying not to” is better.
  • Include one thing that is not flattering. It proves you mean the rest.
  • Put the biggest one last.
  • Keep each note to one line. The letter is where the long version goes.

Questions

Do they need an app to open it?

No. They tap the link and it opens in their phone’s browser. Only you sign in, so that you can edit the page later.

Do I have to add photos or cities?

No. Their name, your name and your letter are all the page needs. Everything else appears only if you fill it in.

How long does the page stay online?

For 7 days after it opens, then it is deleted with its photos. They can turn it into a short video to keep before then.
